Hi Chris, I am an endurance triathlete (full and half distance Ironman races, age grouper). 39 yrs old about 170lbs just starting training for me 3rd full distance IM. Will be down to about 160lbs by time training program is done. I’m not really looking to gain mass, but I’ve put on about 5-7 lbs of muscle the last 9 months mostly in my legs and don’t want to lose it…I’ve read the studies, I’m looking to try the GW in some form. Is the KONG product a good way to go for my needs? Ideally, I’m looking for something that will help me build a stronger base of endurance, push my limits of VO2 max and FTP, increase watts on the bike, decrease my run splits and most importantly, help me to recover quicker after heavy training blocks…Hoping to qualify for Kona in the next 5 years. Appreciate your feedback.
